Ever wished you had a clone?
we find that STRATEGIC HANDS MAKE LIGHT WORK!
We understand that leaders are often faced with a wide range of challenges that cannot always be met in a timely manner, particularly due to resource constraints whether it be funding, capability or plain old capacity.
While national and global companies tend to call on the Top 3 management consulting firms or the Big 4 advisory firms, local government, not for profit organisations and those businesses looking for a more personalised and tailored experience turn to One People.
As an extension of your business we adapt to your working environment, engaging with key stakeholders to ensure the experience is streamlined and stress free and most importantly, that pragmatic solutions are delivered.
We take the worry away from you and shoulder the burden with little guidance, so you can focus on those priorities requiring your utmost attention.
independent
school
The problem:
An independent Catholic College wanted to further improve their high performing ICT Team by reviewing their service delivery model.
Outcome sought:
Insights and recommendations for governance, organisational alignment, compliance, and opportunities for improved connection and communication between the ICT Team and College staff.
Action and result:
We spent time talking with a range of key stakeholders to understand, in more detail, how various groups viewed the current situation, and possible paths forward. Working closely with the ICT Team, we carried out detailed stakeholder and SWOT analyses.
Relying on industry best practice, we recommended a re-alignment of reporting lines for the ICT Team and the adoption of industry standard governance processes for ICT services. We provided a draft strategic plan to align with College Strategic Priorities, and recommended developing a number of communication practices to increase connection to College staff.
The Executive Leadership Team plan to implement all recommendations made.
global
health ngo
The problem:
A health NGO operating a group of specialised medical clinics in a developing country was facing reduced international government funding.
Outcome sought:
The NGO needed to generate sustainable revenue streams from their specialised services but the existing team did not have commercial experience or motivations.
Action and result:
We worked with staff in a culturally sensitive way to identify medical services that could be commercialised, identified priority geographic and demographic markets, created a sustainable pricing strategy, developed a plan to gain referrals from GPs and pharmacies and drafted financial forecasts to ensure future sustainability of the group.
The Client advised that we "... provided thoughtful , independent and impartial advice backed up with well structured and logical analysis. In a difficult operating environment she gathered the resources and connections needed to deliver an operating model which offered a solid and sustainable way forward for the commercial operations. Always considerate and personable, I appreciated her honesty, professionalism and technical skills."
local government
The problem:
A local Council had been cast into the limelight due to allegations of corruption, leading to the Council’s dismissal. The influence of procurement had been seriously diminished, with the team having difficulty in gaining traction to implement the necessary changes.
Outcome sought:
Council wanted to drive transformative change across the organisation with a focus on improved governance, transparency, capability and digitisation to restore the confidence of the community.
Action and result:
Working with stakeholders across the organisation and giving them a voice, we led the development of a centralised procurement model underpinned by a strong Procurement Policy and a comprehensive Procurement Code of Practice which established the governance, controls and consistency of practice for procurement activities.
Greater digitisation of the end to end process for all sourcing activity, predicated on the new Code was also achieved to streamline operational requirements and to provide greater consistency, transparency, and auditability of outcomes.
The Client was extremely satisfied with the collaborative approach taken, the outcomes achieved and the value for money offering.

"Productivity is never an accident. It is always the result of a commitment to excellence, intelligent planning and focused effort.”
